Body Repair to Suburban Rear Quarter Panel by
[email protected]
I have to repair a 2 or 3 square foot fairly deep dent in my left rear
quarter panel of my '04 Suburban. I have received an estimate from one
body shop for about $2,000 which would involve replacing the entire
quarter panel. Another estimate from a second body shop for about
$1,300 would involve...

If Mercedes 560SEC are so rare, why are so many for sale? by
Mr. DOS
I like the looks and have heard lots of good things about the Mercedes
560SEC. But with such a limited production run, if they are truly
"keepers," why is the used car market flooded with them?
There are at least 5 on eBay right now.
Thanks for your comments!

Radial bubble on tire alway impact damage by
Danny Deger
National Tire and Battery told me my radial tire with about 20K miles
certainly has impact damage. I have no sign of a scuff mark on the tire and
have not impacted anything. The bubble runs radially on the tire and is
about 4 inches long, 1/2 inch high, and 1 inch wide. The National Tire...

Parked 1 year - how to prep? by
Jim Beaver
I've got a 1994 Camaro 6-cyl. which has been parked for more than a year,
with no prep done. The battery was removed about five months ago, but other
than that, it is exactly as it was parked the last time it was driven, in
January 2004.
I've got a new battery for it. But what should I do to get...

New handbrake idea. by
Shotokan
Hello everyone,
I am a product design student at Dundee University Scotland and have
been issued with a brief all about security and have come up with an
idea where if a handbrake (parkbrake) is not applied properly, a light
or sound is emmitted from the handle itself. I am not sure if this...

inspection in NY and NJ by
[email protected]
Hi Tom,
My fiancee leased a car in NYC in October 31st, 2004, and the car is
registered in New Jersey (by auto dealer). She didn't know that it
should be inspected in NJ. While she's driving the car without any
inspection sticker, a police officer asked her to get it inspected.
Obviously 14 days...

97 Honda Accord seatbelt retraction problem by
[email protected]
I have a 1997 Honda Accord with about 140K miles.
The seat belt on the drivers side doesnt retract well anymore.
Often the belt gets caught in the door when I leave the car.
Perhaps this is normal wear and tear on the seat belt mechanism after
so many miles. Just wondering if anyone has a similar...

Newbie Cry for Help: 1995 Chevy K1500 P/U Stereo by
Comboverfish
You have some common GM truck stereo issues here. Here is how they are
repaired normally.
You *can* get backlight bulbs for the radio buttons at the GM dealer.
I don't know how they are sourced otherwise. They will be expensive,
according to an authorized Delco radio repair shop owner I talked...

I bought a used black 2000 Sonata just a couple weeks ago and noticed
on
certain spots on the car that it looks like the clear coating is
starting to

It wasn't there when I first recieved the car as I went over it

Not necessarily, particularly when the road is wet or icy but you
are *not* being tailgated.
