Caravan COLD Engine Oil Leak?? Help!! by
MICHELLE H.
Hi everyone,
I know that this is the "Chrysler" group, but unfortunately there is
only like 10 people posting in the "Dodge" group, so I will still try to
get some info. here from any mechanics in the group.
I am hoping that someone can help me out here and try to solve "a big
mystery" that...

Hybrid car sales go from 60 to 0 at breakneck speed by
MoPar Man
This is why you can't blame the big-3 for not having more hybrids for
sale, or that they would be in better financial shape if they had more
hybrids (or even small cars) in their fleet.
The american car consumer is schizophrenic if not irrational and their
purchasing habbits and tendencies change...

Parts Prices. Dealer vs Online by
KirkM
There are some websites that sell Chrysler OEM parts with a discount
compared to suggested retail prices.
I have found that my dealer sells everything for suggested retail.
How is it that these online places can offer discounts, when the local
dealerships don't? Do online retailers charge more...

orphaned mercedes technology in Chrysler/Dodge? by
greek_philosophizer
If DCX spins off Chrysler, will all the Mercedes technology become
orphaned?
More specifically, if I buy a Sprinter, which is really a Mercedes,
and then
Chrysler is sold off, will Dodge be able to maintain those Sprinters
already sold?
Will Chrysler have the Mercedes products pulled from the...

Ignition cables - 2000 Concorde -3.5 L - 111Kmiles by
jaygreg
I just phoned the only Chrysler dealer in a 30 mile radius and was
told I don't have ignition cables in my 3.5 engine so there's nothing
to change. I'm confused. The service manual I bought from the factory
in 2003 (shop manual) calls for this replacement at 100,000 miles.
What's up?

After 20 yrs. must say,BYE, BYE to Chrysler by
Bentracer and Bentrider
In a way it may be sad to say after owning Chrysler vehicles it's now
time for me to say goodby,i did enjoy owning them but IMO it has come
down to this:
Chrysler has been having some of the same problems over the past years
with some of the same models.
and with the problems that they have been...

Polish for plastic lights by
Mike Y
I've seen the discussions on the 'polish' to use on things like headlight
lens when they yellow or become fogged.
I thought the polish was available at Wal-Mart, but I looked yesterday
and couldn't find anything.
Any recommendations as to what to use?
I have a 93 Intrepid with the headlights all...

300M timing belt replacement by
Percival P. Cassidy[_2_]
Our '02 300M is due to have its timing belt replaced soon. The dealer --
which is no longer a Chrysler dealer -- quoted me $750 to replace the
timing belt and water pump, presumably using over-priced "genuine Mopar"
parts.
The parts at AutoZone are less than $200, but, having read through the...

Concorde Fuel pressure by
Smitty
I have a 95 Concorde that is starting to take longer to crank than it
should. I suspect the fuel pressure regulator. I was going to pop one in as
a guess until I saw what a job it was. Looks like the intake manifold or
what ever they call it now days has to come off. Is this correct? (I've...

There is a concept of "Too Bog To Fail" that will ultimately be brought
into play here as it was with Chryslar in 1979.

85 turbo - coughs on heavy accel load by
frenchy
My 1985 lebaron Town and Country convertible runs fine around town, no
idling problems, good get up and go. Only problem is if I happen to
have to really push the motor, like trying to accelerate up a steep
grade too quickly, or pass somebody and almost floor it, the motor will
hesitate and lose...

1999 300M gear shift recall by
JR
I am waiting for my '99 300M to be delivered and they said it would be going
to Chrysler for two repairs. One is the gear shift that moves with too much
resistance and the other should be something about the seat adjustment.
Is this a standard Chrysler procedure? Factory recalls on a 5 year old...

Stripped drain plug on a 2000 Neon by
amadis
Hello everyone.
I always take my 2000 Chrysler Neon to the dealer for my oil changes
and ’peace of mind’ inspections.
I recently took it in for the oil change and after they did it, the
guy come out and told me that my drain plug was stripped and that they
didnt have another to replace it....

Minivan heaven by
Matt Whiting
Well, the 96 Grand Voyager that I've posted about here over the years
met its demise last night due to a drunk driver that tried to do a
u-turn on a busy two-lane highway just as I was passing by. I probably
was going 45 MPH still at impact and swerved hard left, but couldn't
quit get past him. ...

2004 Dodge Neon SXT - poor gas mileage by
daagar
I have a new (< 3000miles) 2004 Dodge Neon SXT (auto trans.). The
sticker said the car should be getting 25-31 MPG. Unfortunately, I
have yet to get anything above 22-23 regardless of my driving
(city/highway/etc).
Being a new vehicle, I don't expect it to be a problem with spark
plugs, O2...

Theft Hot List by
James C. Reeves
The HLDI released it's list of cars based on how likely they are to be stolen.
Among the top 5 are two Cadillac SUX/XUV models and the Nissan Maxima, which I
guess makes some sense. The Cadillac's have expensive wheels and are often
recovered without the wheels and the Maxims has the HID headlamps...

'97 Grand Caravan Brake Question by

A while back I posted looking for recommendations for good brake rotors due

and the quiet stop plus pads (ceramic) I also replaced the rear shoes and
cylinders, flushed the system & put a combo kit on the rear axles. The...
