BioPlast CO2 Test Indicator by The Kenosha Kid
The instructions say to add reagent #2 until the solution turns pink. Does this mean any color change, no matter how slight? Thanks.

Hi all, I just finished my first DIY CO2 injection. I am having a little trouble regulating the bubbles at such low rates. How many bubbles per minute should I be going for? I have 6 bpm right now. Is that too many? TIA ~Mort

Bacopa getting way to big (high), how should I trim? by Tzeentch
Hey people, When I started my aquarium, 2 years ago, the Bacopa I have now weren't doing well. But since I changed the lighting, added CO2, fertilizer and switched to flourite, they're now growing like crazy (like all the other plants in that setup). This 25 gallon aquarium is 16 inch high, but...

Plant problems by Ross Vandegrift
Hello everyone, My 20Gal long tank, with 2wpg, had something happen to it a few months ago. My plants stopped growing well. I've been too busy with school to worry too much about, but I did the obvious things as the plants slowly died off - stopped dosing fertilizer so much and cut down the...

alternating light by Heather
My new tank (20 gallon high) has been getting persistant brown algae on the plants. I've read that alternating the light schedule for a few weeks can help cut down on the algae while still letting the plants grow. Has anyone tried this? Tank setup as follows: 5 danios 3 ottos 7 ghost shrimp

Mystery Water Parameters by Greg G.
Greetings, When I originally set up my current 75g planted tank, the tap water here was pH ~7.0 with a gH of ~2 and a kH of ~1.5. Now, a year later, the water coming from the tap has a pH of 8.3! Even though the hardeness levels have remained the same. (And no, it's not the test kits...) Aging...

Power filter intake tube depth by Phil Dietz
What are the rules governing the depth of power filter intake tubes for planted aquariums ?? Put it too close to the gravel and it sucks your plants / fish in. Put it too high and you get poor circulation and poor cleaning. Opinions ?? It's an Emperor 280 filter in a 37 gallon cube.

Q: Malachite Green and Formalin in planted tank by Greg G.
Greetings all, Well, call me an idiot, but I made the mistake of adding a couple of fish from a local store (one that has good reputation, runs UV sterilizers, etc) to my main tank without quarantining them, and guess what? Correct, you get a gold star! An outbreak of Ichthyophthiris - after 2...
